FIRST AND FOREMOST YOU NEED TO DEVELOP A NEW RELATIONSHIP WITH FOOD!!!!
First and foremost, with any diet or eating program, we have to analyze the mental, physical, emotional and cultural aspects of dieting. What is most important with the alkaline diet is changing your perception of food and also your relationship with food.
For centuries we have been taught to watch calories or to keep counting calories; or that we must cut back on our portions of food.
We are normally thought to eat a diet consisting of only 1500 calories or sometimes we go down to 1200 calories just to lose weight.
2. With the alkaline diet, we need you to forget about counting or cutting calories, and instead focus on getting some more alkaline foods into your body. The more alkaline foods that you place in your body, you will remain slim and healthy forever. ( please show a diagram)
Do not fight the cravings!! The cravings to eat alkaline foods will be extremely intense!!! You will have a ravenous appetite. You will eat lots of alkaline food throughout the day.
4. During the night, you will know when your body has had enough alkaline food for that particular day. You will feel totally full, and you will no longer be hungry. At night, the point at which your body no longer requires any more alkaline food, will be the signal that your body has had sufficient alkaline energy for the entire day.
5. On the alkaline diet, please remember that your body will be going through a radical transition. Take " baby steps " and take one day at a time. Do not rush anything!!! Nobody expects you to be perfect. Make the appropriate food changes at your own pace and when you feel most comfortable.
6. The amount of food you eat on the alkaline diet will be dependent on your weight, height, gender and most importantly, the amount of alkalinity that your body requires.
I am including a meal plan of 6,000 calories. This meal plan is used by a female at 5 feet eight inches at 135 pounds. ( YES, THIS FEMALE IS VINCY JESSE ) Vincy Jesse eats lots of alkaline foods throughout the day. The meal plan is just a guide to show you how you can eat on the alkaline diet.
Of course, depending on your weight you can add lots more alkaline foods to your own personal meal plan. For example a female who weighs 250 pounds may eat up to 7,000 or 8,000 calories per day.
And a male who weighs 250 pounds may comfortably eat up to 10,000 calories per day.
Imagine a man who weighs 350 pounds, he may eat up to 12,000 - 15,000 calories per day
A person who weighs 450 pounds can eat up to 40, 000 calories a day.
For persons who weigh more than 300 pounds, I would recommend that you go to the nutritionist or dietitian (private or at the Community Health Care Center) and the nutritionist can create an alkaline meal plan that ensures you receive all the adequate nutrients, minerals and foods from the various food groups.
